About Us
NPRW.org is a grass roots organization dedicated to promoting conservatism through the election of Republican candidates on both a local and national level. In today’s political and societal setting, it is of the highest importance that groups like NPRW.org flourish, and that we affect positive change.
NPRW.org is made up by community leaders, concerned citizens and business people with a common thread: we believe that by supporting Republican candidates for elected office, we can make Virginia, and the world, a better place. The principles that drive our activities include:
- The importance of self-reliance
- Ethics and dignity from our elected officials
- Charity and support for our community
- God-given freedom to pursue happiness
Through these principles, we undertake a variety of activities to support Republican candidates and their legislative efforts once elected. Our activities are varied, from organizational meetings, to social outings and fund raising events, to campaign volunteer efforts.
We CAN make a difference in local politics and CAN have an impact on State and National affairs.

JAYNE P. YOUNG is a native Northern Virginia and has been active in her community and local politics for many years. Her volunteer activities include PTA president, cub scout leader, community association president, fund raiser for various local causes and a variety of volunteer jobs at her church. Professionally, Jayne was a small business owner for 24 years, a legal administrator, a project manager for a PR/Communications firm, an event planner and currently works as the administrator of a local nonprofit. Politically, she has been a poll worker every election for many years, an active campaign worker for local Republican candidates, the editor of the NPRW newsletter and currently serves as the President of the New Providence Republican Women.
Jayne lives on Oakton, VA with her husband, Joe of 31 years in their empty nest. Their 3 sons all live locally and visit often!!

- Former RN with experience in surgical and post surgical care, and the cardiac care unit
- Volunteered with Meals on Wheels for 4 years.
- Involved with and Supports Wounded Warrior Holiday Care
- Involved with and Supports Youth for Tomorrow, an organization helping at-risk youth

CAROL PRUITT is a native Washingtonian and grew up in a politcally active family in Montgomery County, Maryland. She attended the University of Maryland at College Park and Baltimore campus with degree work in politcal science and health policy and administration. Carol also worked and taught at the University of Maryland Dental school in Baltimore City.
In 1983 Carol and her husband Paul moved from Columbia, Md. to Farifax where her husband was transferred for work. Carol stayed home while raising their two sons and later went to work as a periodontal surgical assistant when her boys were older. Both boys have graduated from college and live in the area. Carol attends church in Fairfax and does volunteer work there. She enjoys staying active in local and national politics and playing recreational tennis at Fairfax Racquet Club.

MELINDA O’BRIEN relocated to Northern Virginia from Chicago in 1984 interrupting a career in interior design. While living in Chicago she was involved with the Republican Party. While raising a family she managed her husband’s medical practice for twenty years. Currently, she is able to resume her career in interior design and her involvement in politics with NPRW.
